Finding the right web hosting company

Actually it's easy to find a web hosting company - an online search for the production of dozens of results - but to compare and choose a company not so easy. Web hosting companies vary greatly in price, services, features and ease of use. In general, the four most important are the costs, features, reliability and support.

For most people who just want a basic website, the price is perhaps the most important consideration. Many web hosting sites will host your site for only a few pounds a month - a good rule of thumb is that if you are paying between £ 5 and £ 10 per month, will probably get a lot of what you want in terms space and features.

A disadvantage with many web hosting that is often the lowest load is available only if you prepay for several months or a year. Often there are different prices for different "levels" of service with more features, more space, etc

Many people prefer to pay on a monthly basis although it can be slightly more expensive - in this way are not bound to a long-term. Make sure the charge is refunded if your site does not just like the web hosting company.

Another thing to consider is the amount of space that is allocated for your site. Disk space can be confusing to those who are not technically mind. In fact most of the basic web sites using less than 5MB of web space, which is the equivalent of about 150 pages.

Do not be tempted by companies offering web hosting unlimited space or a large amount of space as 500 MB - but for a higher price. It is likely that you simply do not need much space so why pay for it? On the other hand, if you want to expand your site over time, try to choose a plan that will allow you to add more space to your site when needed.

The appearance of your website is also important. Many web hosting companies offer a wide range of basic designs (often called templates) that you can choose and customize to your liking. Most designs offer a wide range of colors, styles and design.

All these programs for Web site design of course, entitled to be easy to use and as you might expect, some are easier to navigate than others. Many hosting companies allow to "test drive" the design of the website of the program before committing to it and get an idea of what your site will be finished well.

Try to determine how easy or otherwise is to contact someone - by phone or email - if you have a technical problem or other issue. Ideally, the technical support should be available - as part of the package - the 24 hours a day. Some of the cheaper web hosting can not provide customer service.

Finally, consider some of the additional features that you may or may not need on your website. Do you need statistics on the number of visitors to its website, the ability to take credit card orders for merchandise, a number of email accounts and the ability to host live chat sessions or forums?

Your website is important to you - it's the first impression that many of their customers or visitors will have. With a little time and research, choose the web hosting company will ensure your site is a success. (source)
